Delete your Monster Walk account

Monster Walk: Step Adventure, by Talofa Games (Talofa Corporation)

You can delete your Monster Walk account and the data we store for it at any time. Deleting is permanent: your adventure cannot be restored afterwards.

Option 1: delete in the app (fastest)

  1. Open Monster Walk and tap your avatar on the map (or open Settings › Profile).
  2. On your Profile, tap Delete account at the bottom of the account card.
  3. Read the warning and tap Delete forever.

The deletion runs straight away. The game then restarts as a new adventure.

Option 2: ask us by email

If you no longer have the app installed, or the in-app option does not work for you, email help@talofagames.com with the subject "Monster Walk account deletion". Include the email address or Apple ID you signed in with (and your player name or Player ID from Settings, if you know it). You can also use our data deletion form.

We confirm the request from that address and complete it within 30 days.

What is deleted

  • Your cloud account and sign-in (email or Sign in with Apple link).
  • Every cloud save and save history (revisions), cloud backups, and any account import or transfer records.
  • Gifts and grants waiting on your account, and your style stations and likes.

What is kept, and for how long

  • Purchase records: the app store's transaction id, the product id and what it granted are kept so a refunded or already-delivered purchase cannot be claimed again, and so the store's refund notices still find the purchase. After deletion they are no longer connected to any account and contain no name, email or step data.
  • Analytics and crash reports: pseudonymous gameplay and crash events already sent to our analytics providers are not linked to your email. They expire under each provider's retention period. Ask in your email if you also want them erased and we will request it from the providers.
  • Data on your phone: the local game files stay on your device until you uninstall the app. Step data stays in Apple Health or Health Connect, and the walking workouts Monster Walk saved to Apple Health stay there too; manage them in those apps.
  • Purchases themselves are managed by Apple or Google; deleting your account does not cancel or refund them.
